Lost Boys - The Church

Over the past year, the conversation around the “Lost Boys” crisis has grown louder across the UK and Ireland. Reports, statistics, and public concern are now catching up with something many of us in church leadership have quietly witnessed for years — a generation of boys and young men drifting, disconnected, struggling with identity, purpose, faith, mental health, education, relationships, and belonging.

At RUMbLE, in partnership with Evangelical Alliance Northern Ireland, we believe the Church has a critical role to play in responding.

This gathering is specifically for:

  • Church leaders

  • Leaders of denominations

  • Local pastors

  • Youth leaders

  • Elders

  • Men’s ministry leaders

Following our recent gatherings with politicians, policy makers, educators, mental health professionals, and community leaders, this next event is focused entirely on the response of the Church.

Together we’ll explore:

  • What is really happening with boys and young men?

  • Why are so many disengaging from church and community?

  • What are churches experiencing on the ground?

  • How can we effectively disciple and engage the next generation of men?

  • What practical, collaborative response is needed across Northern Ireland?

This is not about criticism or blame. It is about leadership, honesty, partnership, and action.

In many ways, the Church is uniquely positioned to respond to this crisis — not only spiritually, but relationally and practically through mentoring, discipleship, community, fatherhood, belonging, and positive models of manhood.

We would love you to join us for what we believe is a vital and timely conversation, and to here from some other incredible organisations who are joining us in responding to this crisis.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to other church leaders and ministry leaders who should be part of the discussion.
